چکیده
Bridges are common and important constructions to overcome different obstacles in any transportation network. Variations bridge types include variation span length, statical system, construction material, methods sustained loads. Choosing the suitable system is affected with several factors such as time, availability of materials, available budget, contractors’ background one most layout road network or outline beneath bridge. Skew bridges result from inclined intersection between axis below water stream. The famous problems that this inclination distribution loads among main girders bearings` reactions. Stiffness cross especially near skew edge affects noticeably girders. In paper, analysis medium RC girder deck will be proposed using angles (α) measured horizontal 20̊, 30̊, 40̊ 50̊ patterns. Analysis performed grillage model FEM software package. includes angles, patterns distributed gravity load observed outputs reactions at bearings bending moment values effect on introduced. these variables BM discussed extended paper work.

Lamb Wave Behavior in Bridge Girder Geometries
Lamb waves in plates and in cylindrical pipes have been the subject of extensive study, largely because they propagate great distances with little attenuation, and can therefore be used to detect flaws. In this paper we report finite element simulations and experimental studies of Lamb waves in steel bridge girder geometries. In our studies the Lamb waves are generated by PZT wafer-type transdu...
متن کاملDetection of Bridge Deck
Delamination is probably the most serious form of deterioration I which is commonly found in britlge decks. It ultimately results in large scale spalling necessitating costly repairs. This type of failure is believed to be caused chiefly from salt induced corrosion of the reinforcing steel. An instrument designed to detect delamination, and tests conducted to val:iAate its perf'ormance, are .br...
متن کاملAn experimental study on the unsteady vortices and turbulent flow structures around twin-box-girder bridge deck models with different gap ratios
In the present study, an experimental investigation was conducted to characterize the unsteady vortices and turbulent flow structures around twin-box-girder (TBG) bridge deck models with and without cross beams. While the oncoming wind speed was fixed at U11⁄48.0 m/s (i.e., the corresponding Reynolds number, Re1⁄4 1:01 10, based on the height of the box girder) during the experiments, the gap w...

Concrete bridge decks are prone to ice accumulation. The use of road salts and chemicals for deicing is cost effective but causes damage to concrete and corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete bridge decks. This problem is a major concern to transportation officials and public works due to rapid degradation of existing concrete pavements and bridge decks. The use of insulation materials for ...
